Everything estates, guards and residents usually want to know before they switch to Waria. Can’t find it here? Talk to us.
Waria is an all-in-one estate management platform for Nigerian residential communities. It brings dues and service-charge collection, visitor gate access, utility and bill payments, and resident communication into one secure, auditable system.
No. Waria runs on the smartphones your guards and residents already use, and supports USSD for feature phones. You can go live with QR gate validation immediately and integrate existing access-control hardware later if you wish.
Most estates are live within days. We import your households and residents, configure roles and billing rules, then invite everyone with SMS activation. Larger, multi-estate associations take a little longer but follow the same steps.
Individual passes for a single visitor, Group passes with a guest allowance, Multi-pass passes for re-entrant access over a date range, and Event passes for larger gatherings. Each generates a QR and code that any gate can validate.
Yes. A full USSD flow lets a resident generate a visitor pass from any feature phone. If one phone number is linked to more than one estate, the resident simply chooses which estate they’re issuing the pass for.
Every check-in and check-out is written to an audit log with the gate, direction and timestamp. Admins can review any code’s full entry history, including denied attempts, from the estate console.
Yes. Each estate configures per-day and per-hour limits for individual passes, guest allowances for groups, and validity windows. These rules are enforced the moment a pass is created.
Service charge, waste, water, security and electricity — as one-time or recurring bills. Recurring bills act as templates that automatically generate each period’s instance based on the frequency and first due date.
From their Waria wallet, funded by bank transfer or card through our Monnify integration. Residents can combine all due bills into one payment or settle individual line items.
Yes. The same wallet pays third-party billers such as DSTV and buys prepaid electricity tokens. Estates can even require outstanding bills to be cleared before a token purchase is allowed.
They control when a bill becomes visible to residents (0, 3, 5, 7, 14 or 30 days ahead). This lets you prepare bills in advance without flooding resident notifications too early.
Completely. Every estate is an isolated tenant (realm) with its own residents, roles, permissions and configuration, secured by Keycloak-based access control.
You decide. Roles and permissions are granular — separate rights to create, view or manage bills, to view visitor access, to check passes in and out, and more. Staff see only what their role allows.
Payments run through Monnify’s regulated rails. Webhooks are signature-verified, wallet debits are idempotent so a retried event never double-charges, and every credit, debit and refund lands in an immutable ledger.
